John Blow began his masonry career in 1974 as an apprentice bricklayer with Local #10 in Burlington, Iowa.  Through hard work and determination, he steadily worked his way up to journeyman and finally President of the Bricklayers’ Local.  In the span of ten years, John gained a wide range of experience from running projects to serving on union negotiation committees.

 In 1984, John started his own masonry contracting business, working primarily in southeast Iowa.  Cultivating and building relationships with owners and general contractors, John amassed a successful 23-years in business.    

 In October 2007, John joined Seedorff Masonry, Inc. as a Project Manager/Estimator based in the Quad Cities, Eldridge Office.  His background and expertise provide excellent support and management for SMI field operations from Clinton to Iowa City.  John is a member and past president of the Southeast Iowa Builders Association.
