John Gilmore received his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. His background in the construction industry includes 10 years experience working for a national concrete subcontractor on a combination of large projects and 12 years of general contracting experience working on mostly schools, medical, and office building projects. His experience on a wide variety of projects translates well into having a full understanding of the construction process from start to completion of a project.

 John joined SMI in 2001 as an Estimator/Project Manager and was instrumental in opening the Lincoln Regional Office. His current duties include estimating and project management, developing and maintaining client relationships, and management of the area backlog which includes the Eastern half of Nebraska, excluding the Omaha metropolitan area.
