Mark
Guetzko received his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction
Engineering from Iowa State University. His background in the
construction industry includes ten years of experience in general
contracting where he was involved in all aspects of small commercial
construction, followed by experience as a field, office and project
engineer on a combination of large projects. Estimating and work
procurement in various areas throughout the United States round out
his construction experience prior to coming on board the team at
Seedorff Masonry, Inc.
Since
joining SMI in 1988, he has been involved in estimating, project
management, safety, quality, education and the development of
strategic initiatives. As President, his responsibilities include a
variety of duties regarding operations and overall corporate
direction. Mark's management and leadership style provide the Company
with definite focus on a "team approach" resulting in
winning results for both our customers and employees.
The corporate goals of One Million Safe Hours and Masonry
Guaranteed for Life are supported by Seedorff University, an in-house
continuing education initiative.
His
involvement in the industry includes various committees of the Master
Builders of Iowa and he is a past president of the Masonry Institute
of Iowa. He has served on
the MBI Board of Directors and as Chairman of MBI’s Associate
Council. At the national
level he is a member of AGC of America’s Project Delivery Systems
committee, and has served on AGC of America’s Executive Board and as
Chair of the AGC Specialty Contractors Council. |
