Matt Cullins received his Bachelor
of Science degree in Construction Technology
from the University of Northern Iowa with a minor in Business.
His background in the construction industry includes 12 years of
experience in the masonry industry plus 3 years experience in general
contracting prior to joining the team at Seedorff in 1995.
His base of experience as both a subcontractor and a GC,
creates an opportunity to apply a unique perspective that takes into
account the entire project as opposed to a single division of the
specifications. Matt joined SMI in 1995 in the role
of Estimator/Project Manager and was responsible for contracts and
project management in central Iowa.
Late in 1995 he was instrumental in starting up SMI’s
regional office in Des Moines. In
2000 he was promoted to Area Manager where his responsibilities have
expanded to include the supervision and coordination of additional
estimating and support staff, development of client relationships and
management of the area backlog. His involvement in the industry
includes the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), the
Masonry Institute of Iowa and the Master Builders of Iowa.
