RE: 2025 W-2 BOX 14
On July 4, 2025, The One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) was signed into Public Law. This Bill significantly affects federal taxes, credits and deductions. Specifically, a portion of overtime wages are deductible from your federal income tax liability for 2025. Overtime amounts were intended to be included on form W-2 in box 14, Other. Seedorff W-2’s were printed and mailed out on January 12, 2026. We were informed a number of weeks later that box 14 was calculated incorrectly by the software service used to print W-2’s and more than just overtime wages were included in this informational section. We have reviewed several W-2 documents and we believe that all or nearly all hourly employees do not have the correct amount in Box 14 for this reason.
In order to expedite the correct information to our employees there are two options we are proposing:
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Box 14 itself is informational only, and you may file your W-2 provided by Seedorff as normal. There are no other issues we are aware of at this time. If you have any questions regarding the OBBBA, please contact your tax professional.

In order to expedite the correct information to our employees there are two options we are proposing:
- Use the Overtime/Double Time year to date total amount from your last paystub of 2025, which is an accurate accounting of your overtime for the year.
- Contact Sarah Meyen at 563-933-2296 or [email protected] in our Strawberry Point office to get an accurate amount to put on your tax return.
