AWS/SMI Team – this is an update regarding our current situation as it relates to the COVID-19 coronavirus:

The COVID-19 situation continues to change quickly.  Here is an update on activity and documents affecting our jobsites and offices:
  1. Disinfectant guidelines for all vehicles and common areas
    1. Laminated placards and sanitizer in all vehicles and on jobsites (see attached)
  2. COVID-19 Jobsite (and Office) Signage notices
    1. Posted in offices and jobsites
  3. AWS SMI COVID-19 Preparedness Plan (Business Continuity) 2020.03.17
  4. 15 Days to Slow the Spread 2020.03.16

Gretna:
We have one individual on voluntary self-quarantine for 14 days based on a COVID-19 report from an Omaha areas fitness club.

Des Moines-Grimes Shop:
We currently have one employee in the Des Moines metro area on voluntary self-quarantine as a precaution pending the result of a COVID-19 test on a family member/acquaintance.  Updates will follow.

Clive Office:
We have an employee on voluntary self-quarantine that is NOT DUE TO EXPOSURE.
The individual’s spouse is employed in the medical field and anticipates future COVID-19 patients in their unit.
As a proactive measure, we have moved that individual to remote work only until further notice to prevent contact.

We continue to monitor the situation with our team, our clients, our supply chain and our industry partners.  No disruptions have occurred to date.

At the Federal level we are monitoring daily updates from the COVID-19 Task Force, press briefings from Governor Kim Reynolds, the CDC, Iowa Workforce Development, MBI, the AGC of America, and our industry partners.

Please be assured that the health, safety and well-being of our team is our first priority.  To the extent that it is prudent we intend to follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing and safe hygiene to keep our offices open, continue with job progress in the field, and keep paychecks coming.  In the event that you become ill or your personal situation changes with school cancellations and care for family members requiring you to stay home, please stay in close contact with your supervisor and provide as much notice as possible if you need time off.  We’ll keep you up to date with timely, accurate information as we receive it.  Thanks.
