Daily Update: March 26, 2020
11:00 am

Working our way through COVID-19:
Daily updates are intended to establish the path we’re taking to navigate the current COVID-19 pandemic. We won’t always get it right, and there will certainly be course corrections.

More important than “how” we’re changing business in the current environment, is the “WHY”? Here are our priorities that drive “why”:

1. Protect our individual team members – 15-days to Stop the Spread, Help Keep Us Healthy, COVID-19 Preparedness Plan, working remote, limiting circulation, and jobsite-specific precautions/processes are in play. You will still see Area Superintendents, Project Managers and Safety Staff on jobs for job specific issues, but not for routine visits to check in.

2. Minimize the negative impact on our team – sometimes protection will dictate inconvenience. A great example is the policy of “one person per company vehicle”. This is for the safety of our crew members (and your families) to ensure social distance. If this changes how you currently get to work, we have established fuel allowances to help cover your cost. Check with your supervisor for details.

3. Be flexible and learn as we go – understand that what works for some of us won’t work for others. If you can’t work, should not work, or prefer not to work we’ll help you maintain as much of your income as possible. If you want to work we’ll continue to modify our approach to work – keeping your safety and well-being as our first priority.

We are all concerned with the current situation surrounding COVID-19. We have seen minimal short-term interruptions of work (2 projects) and very limited requirements for self-isolation of a team member or their family member (5 instances), none of which have produced a positive COVID-19 test.

Moving forward, please know that we’re committed to protect our team, minimize the impact, and be flexible based on changing conditions.

Stay tuned for further updates. As always, feel free to reach out to your direct supervisor with questions. Be safe!
