Family First: Daily Pre-Check to Help Keep Us Healthy
Construction has been classified as an essential business during the coronavirus pandemic. We continue to explore a variety of avenues to protect our team’s collective health and well-being.
When we’re at work our jobsites, shop, yard, and office each represent a “closed community” to a great extent. At home we have a completely different, but nonetheless “closed community” as well. In both situations we can use social distance and practice good hygiene within a defined group of people to limit our exposure.
But what about the space between the two? The gray area between work and home becomes somewhat of a wild card. How do we try to ensure that exposure at home does not transfer to work, or that an exposure at work doesn’t find its way home? None of us want to transmit the coronavirus to someone else.
In an effort to monitor our individual and collective health (in the gray area between work and home) we’re going to formally check in with each other at the start of each day. We’ll begin every work day with a clean slate.
All jobs, office locations, and our shop/yard support facilities will begin using a Daily Pre-Check form beginning Wednesday morning, April 1st. A downloadable form is included in our “Internal Resources” section below (AWS SMI Daily Pre-Check). This is a fillable electronic form and can be completed by the Job Superintendent, Supervisor, or Manager for every member of the team at the start of each day.
Take a photo of the completed form and E-MAIL to: COVIDprecheck@seedorff.com
Our Daily Pre-Check questions are intended to protect the health and well-being of you, your family, and our entire team.
Stay tuned for further updates. As always, feel free to reach out to your direct supervisor with questions. Be safe!
