Daily Update: April 20, 2020
11:00 am
SMART Infrared Thermometers arrived last week at all of our jobsites, support facilities, and offices. As temperature checks become a standard step in our pre-check process, here is summary of the procedure:
SMART Infrared Thermometer Operation
Step 1: Turn the unit on (“Measure Button” = thermometer symbol)
Step 2: Use small “Mode Button” to set to Adult Mode (icon in upper left corner of display)
Step 3: Point the temperature probe at the center of the forehead (within an inch)
Step 4: Press and release the “Measure Button” and hold the thermometer still until it beeps
Step 5: Read temperature
Step 6: WAIT 10 SECONDS between temperature checks
Surgical Mask Update: Our supplemental mask order (non-N95) has been delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. Please protect each other during the thermal scan process through the use of a cloth mask, painter’s sock, bandana, or other means until the surgical masks become an additional option.
SOCIAL DISTANCE REMINDER: Facemasks are required where it is not feasible to maintain a minimum 6’ social distance.
If you’re sick, stay home.
Stay tuned for further updates on Monday – Wednesday – Friday or more often as circumstances dictate. As always, feel free to reach out to your direct supervisor with questions. Be safe!
