Easing Restrictions: A logical approach
As Governor Reynolds prepares to announce the easing of restrictions in Iowa that may take effect as early as Friday, Governor Ricketts in Nebraska has announced that softball and baseball practice can begin June 1st, with games to resume on June 18th.

Conditions will be different, but both Governors are moving forward in a return “toward” normal.
To date, we have been incredibly fortunate that none of our team members have tested positive for COVID-19. Our efforts in social distancing, cleaning, sanitizing, and monitoring team health have allowed our jobsites to avoid interruption on an extended basis. Still uncertainty remains. We’re all anxious to get back to normal, and we understand that with any opportunity there is risk.
Risk/Reward: A lag on easing restrictions
Allowing data to lead change, we intend to follow the Governors of Iowa and Nebraska with a 2-week lag on eased restrictions. As Governor Reynolds and Ricketts ease restrictions incrementally, we will monitor the effects of that easing and follow suit with a 2-week lag. This balances risk and reward. We’ll make progress without getting ahead of ourselves.
