At AWS and SMI, we believe we have a responsibility for the safety of our team and for those whom we work with on and off our jobsites. Our Safety Bucks Program is a way for us to recognize team members for individual efforts to make safety a priority.

For every 500 individual hours worked without an OSHA-reported safety incident, field employees earn “safety bucks”. As your hours accrue, the rewards increase. Hours reset to 0 after a recordable incident. The matrix to the right shows the incentives for each 500-hour achievement.

Safety bucks are issued on a bi-annual basis for every 500-hour increment. Your safety buck balance will be managed digitally by our Safety support staff, and you’ll receive a notice of any newly deposited safety bucks along with your current account balance in the mail.
