Position Summary
Join our collaborative accounting team as a Staff Accountant and experience a role where no two days are the same! In this position, you’ll play a vital part in our financial operations, working across multiple business units and supporting a variety of projects. You’ll ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, contribute to month-end closing, and prepare insightful reports that drive business decisions. This is a full-time position based in-person at our Strawberry Point, Iowa office.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain and update accounting records, schedules, and reports
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll activities as needed
- Prepare financial statements and management reports under supervision
- Help ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Participate in internal and external audit processes
- Analyze financial data to identify trends or discrepancies
- Support process improvements and implement accounting best practices
- Additional responsibilities as needed to support the team
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, related field or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of accounting experience ERP experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software, Construction/ Manufacturing ERP experience preferred.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
