The "Breaking Barriers" sculpture was created to commemorate Jack Trice, it's located at the Iowa State University football complex. Jack was the first African-American student athlete on ISU's campus in 1922. This installation was part of the celebration honoring his legacy and the 100th anniversary of his death.
