Our ProcessINSPECTION
Our team starts by physically visiting the property to inspect the masonry facades and surrounding conditions – both on the ground and in the air. We utilize our experienced experts on the ground and drones equipped with visual and thermal cameras for our aerial inspections. ASSESSMENT SMI will provide an inspection and assessment of the underlying conditions that contribute to the deterioration. We’ll treat the cause as well as the symptoms. REPORT Based on our assessment, we will recommend needed repairs and the scope of those repairs in a detailed report. PROPOSAL We’ll create a tailored proposal for an overall capital budget and estimated timespan for the repairs to be made, prioritizing the most critical repairs first. We understand budget annual limitations, so SMI will partner with you to find the best solution for your specific needs. EXECUTION Upon agreement of a proposal, SMI’s master craftsman will execute the scope of work – keeping you updated and informed every step of the way. |

3D Modeling and Architectural PrintsWith the use of drones and high end photogrammetry software, SMI has the capability to provide 3D building models on facilities whose prints have been lost or misplaced.
HOW IT WORKS Real-Time Kinematic capable drones with heightened GPS accuracy are deployed to circumnavigate the building and capture photos at the precise locations and angles needed for a complete model. These photos are then run through software that uses the geo-location of the photos and the overlap from the pictures to stitch together an accurate point cloud of the building. This point cloud creates a 3D model of the building which can then be exported to architectural software. Architectural prints are then generated and available for scope determination, budgets, and as-builts as work is performed over the years. |
