Construction Executive
VP or President-Level Leader Job Summary: Participate as a member of the executive team in the development of the long-range corporate strategy. Executes the long-range strategy of SMI by translating corporate plans into workable direction for the Seedorff team. Mentor, manage and direct professionals and leaders under his/her span of control, giving support, feedback and direction. Lead all Corporate operations for Seedorff Masonry, Inc. to ensure the staff focus is on profitability, quality, and safety as we pursue our vision to Build Better. |

Who We Need
Seedorff Masonry is searching for an Executive Level Leader with energy, enthusiasm and experience as we pursue our collective vision to Build Better. This individual will lead our team internally while simultaneously building relationships in a client-facing role. Our success is based on our four core values (see above). Underlying those values, we have rich traditions of technical knowledge and experience, organizational skills, teamwork, collaboration, and an awareness of how our work impacts those around us – both during construction with our clients and trade partners, and after construction with the impact that facilities have on the communities in which we live.

The individual we seek will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to effectively deliver a wide variety of messages to a diverse audience that includes owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and tradespeople. Our ideal candidate has the following expertise:
- General Contracting Experience of at least 10 years
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of leadership
- Masonry experience is a bonus, but not necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
What You’ll Do
- Build Better: Better People. Better Process. Better Opportunity.
- Direct Operations: Participate in the design and execution of corporate strategy and expectations and translate it into workable, specific goals for SMI. Focus on progress and results as you work collaboratively with Area Superintendents, Management, and Support Staff in the office as well as the field.
- Communicate: Utilize clear, concise, consistent communication verbally and in written format to diverse audiences – both internally and client-facing. Consistently communicate the vision and values of SMI.
- Challenge Our Team: Provide support and opportunity to all company employees, enabling them to succeed and realize their full potential. Proactively grow staff skills and experience to fuel opportunity and expansion through a pipeline of future leaders.
- Manage Profitability: Analyze production history, cost reports, overhead and profit projections and relate those to current and future estimates. Participate in assembling and approving budgets, capital investment in equipment, personnel and methods that push the envelope, create efficiencies, and expand our market presence.
- Build Relationships: Expand and cultivate authentic mutually-beneficial relationships with partners who share our enthusiasm and energy to explore and succeed together.
Job Environment
- Working Conditions: This role influences and impacts team members throughout our organization in a variety of roles. As a result, the work at hand will dictate location. Expect to work in our home and regional offices, client and designer locations, and to visit worksites with variable weather extremes and conditions consistent with construction sites. This will include the occasional use of personal protective equipment as appropirate to ensure the safety of all team members.
