SMI receives Leadership in Workforce Recruitment Award
February 26, 2019
Seedorff Masonry, Inc. (SMI) was awarded the Leadership in Workforce Recruitment Award at the Master Builders of Iowa 2019 Annual Winter Conference. SMI has built a tradition of passionate recruitment over the years and is honored to have received recognition for their efforts. Below is an excerpt from their award entry:
"A transition in experience and youth has been taking over the workforce in all trades. The need for recruitment continues to intensify, as many companies within the construction field battle for the most experienced tradesmen to fill vacancies – along with recruiting new faces to the trades. As industry leaders, it’s our responsibility to excite the next generation of our workforce and pass along valuable information about what we do and the great career opportunities we offer. Seedorff Masonry, Inc. (SMI) has taken on the challenge for increased recruitment, specifically in the bricklaying trade, as we’ve seen the shifting (and diminishing) workforce first-hand."
